Jimmy Page’s playing style is rooted in a combination of blues, folk, Celtic, and Indian musical influences. The heavy blues influence in Page’s compositions and guitar playing are obvious, but the aforementioned genres can also be heard in much of his work with Led Zeppelin, formed and produced by Page. Some of Page’s influences were rockabilly guitarists such as, Scotty Moore, and blues legends like B.B. King. Like his contemporary, Eric Clapton, Page is also a Yardbirds alumni, joining the band in 1966.
